What a magic week for YRA family...
A suitcase of emotions that we will not easily forget. Neither will Mikey, Sophie, Guido and Elin, who lived the show so intensely.
Guido opens the dances on Thursday with a professional fast and sharp round which allowed to wind the U25 class. Then it comes Mikey, and with flawless mastery leaves the audience, us from YRA, and the “senior “riders all with open mouths: it’s a double clear in the GP 155 qualifying class, second only to Kent Farrington – fastest rider on earth.
The best arises at the end of the weekend, beginning with a brilliant sixth place for Sophie in U25 GP - unlucky fault on last jump takes her off the podium.
The end of this journey comes with the Rolex Grand Prix and an extraordinary clear first round by Mikey. Two faults, perhaps due to excess of eagerness, in the jump off ensure for Mikey the 11th spot, indeed a significant result among those key achievements of his young career.
