From June 24th to 28th, the Young Riders Academy reunited in the beautiful setting of Lugano, Switzerland, for the first educational seminar of the 2025 season. Hosted at the prestigious Franklin University, this week was all about expanding horizons—inside and outside the classroom.
A week of inspiration and insight
The seminar featured a well-rounded program aimed at preparing athletes not just as riders, but as professionals. Throughout the week, our YRA riders engaged in lectures and interactive sessions on:
Each topic was designed to deepen their understanding of what it takes to thrive in the world of top-level equestrianism, beyond talent in the saddle.
Learning from the best
This year’s seminar brought together top professionals from across disciplines to share knowledge and encourage discussion. From equine health to communication strategy, the goal was to give our riders tools that will stay with them for the rest of their careers.
The seminar wasn’t just about riding—it was about shaping professionals and future ambassadors of the sport.
Connections that count
Of course, the YRA experience is not only about academics. True to tradition, the week also included time to relax and connect. From team challenges to our iconic YRA barbecue night, riders had the chance to laugh, bond, and build friendships that cross borders.
Whether by the pool or around the grill, these lighter moments are key to what makes the YRA a true family.
What’s next?
With the educational seminar now wrapped up, the focus shifts back to the arenas—but the lessons learned in Lugano will follow our riders everywhere they go. From managing pressure to communicating with impact, the skills they’ve gained here are just as essential as anything learned in the ring.
Well done to all the riders, speakers, and organizers who made this week such a success.
We’re already looking forward to the next chapter!
