My name is Evelyne, and I’m a 20-year-old showjumper from Belgium. I began riding at the age of six, following into my older sister’s footsteps. Currently, my best horse is Oberon vdh, with whom I competed in the European Championships for Young Riders last year. I look up to many riders, but my biggest idols are Niels Bruynseels and Harrie Smolders. My goal is to continually grow and push myself to become the best rider I can be, while also building up our stable at home. I'm extremely motivated and determined to get as far as possible in my career. I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Young Riders Academy, as it’s a truly amazing opportunity and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It will be great to learn from some of the best horseman in the world. I am excited for what’s to come and ready to put my best foot forward this year.
